WJMJ Radio is gearing up for our Spring Radiothon to be held June 19-23, 2025. WJMJ is the Catholic radio station of the Archdiocese of Hartford that plays great music with live announcers and provides inspirational messages you won't find anywhere else, plus local, national and religious news and local weather you may or may not find on commercial radio stations, all without those annoying commercials!
Help keep this great station on the air. WJMJ Catholic Radio, Where Faith Meets Life®
The Office of Radio & Television and WJMJ Radio invite you to join Father John Gatzak on a special pilgrimage tour to Italy in celebration of Jubilee 2025: The Holy Year of the Roman Catholic Church.
The Jubilee is a special year of grace, in which the Catholic Church offers the faithful the possibility of asking for a plenary indulgence, that is, the remission of sins for themselves or for deceased relatives. A Jubilee usually lasts a year and a few days: it begins just before the Christian Christmas and ends on the Epiphany of the following year.
We still have a few seats remaining for this Jubilee year pilgrimage. So, don't miss this opportunity to be among the first to see Pope Leo XIV, the Church's first American born pope!
Florence, Assisi & Rome, October 26 to November 6, 2025 (12 Days)

Crossroads Magazine™
After 17 years of "Good News" programming, production of Crossroads Magazine™ came to an end in November 2011. With limited and dwindling resources, Father John had to make a difficult decision to cancel Crossroads Magazine™, another victim of the poor U.S. economy. The final program was broadcast on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. on WCCT-TV Channel 20, and presented a retrospective look at 17 years of "Good News" programming.
But, after nearly a year off air, it was decided that there are so many good works happening in and outside the Archdiocese of Hartford, that we brought back Crossroads Magazine™ in a mini sized version, for now. Hopefully, we'll be able to garner enough financial support to bring Crossroads Magazine™ back to its original time and length bringing you the people, personalities and events making news around the Crossroads of Connecticut. Until then, it will be periodically sharing the same time slot as That's the Spirit.
If you have questions or comments about Crossroads Magazine™ please e-mail us at programming (no attachments please).
PHILOSOPHICAL FOUNDATION There are good things happening every day in our neighborhoods and communities. Relationships are being built through caring, concerned, self-giving people whose good news stories are not necessarily being told on commercial television news. Crossroads Magazine™ tells these stories. God is met through the ordinary and extraordinary people we meet on the crossroads of life. In school, at work, while shopping for groceries; anywhere... anytime... on any crossroad, you can meet people who bring a touch of the presence of God. These are the stories we tell. |
Crossroads Magazine™, is hosted by Father John Gatzak and produced by the Office of Radio & Television. A "Good News" magazine-style program broadcast every other Sunday in rotation with That's The Spirit. This program focuses on the good things that are going on in our neighborhoods and the people who are making them happen. It is ecumenical in nature but maintains a Catholic perspective, with priority given to church events on a diocesan and local parish level. It informs, enlightens, educates and entertains.
