FOR OUR TELEVISION MASS VIEWERS: Please note that the video production equipment that generates the text that is seen on the screen (priest and lecture names, etc.) during the television Mass has failed. Unfortunately, it is an expensive piece of equipment and is being evaluated for repair or replacement. It is old and may not be repairable, in which case we would need to purchase new equipment and then train staff on the new technology before we would be able to place it in service. 1 lb. hamburger, veal mixture Core cabbage, and boil leaves in salted water, until tender. Remove cabbage leave and save the cooking water. Make rice as per box instructions. Mix rice with meat mixture. In a large pot, add the oil and vinegar. Place approximately 1 tablespoon of meat mixture onto base of cabbage leaf. Wrap leaf in square formation around meat and roll. Place opening down in pot. Continue filling cabbage leafs with the rice and meat mixture. Add the reserved cabbage cooking water until the Golabki are covered, and simmer on stovetop for two hours. Uncover the pot for last 1/2 hour to reduce broth. |
